Commercial Lending

What makes us different
Commercial lending is not just a practice area for us, it was the beginning of a career. Before law school, I spent nearly a decade working in commercial banking in both commercial real estate and commercial and industrial (C&I) loan transactions. I sat on the lender's side of the table, reviewing financial statements, assessing borrower risk, structuring credit facilities, and understanding what it takes for a transaction to get approved, documented, and closed. That experience gave me something most attorneys do not have: a firsthand understanding of how lenders think, what they need, and why the details in loan documentation matter long before a dispute ever arises.
Who we represent
We represent banks, credit unions, institutional lenders, and private lenders across a broad range of commercial financing transactions. We also counsel commercial borrowers and business owners who need experienced guidance on the terms and obligations they are agreeing to. Whether you are on the lending side or the borrowing side, having counsel who understands the full transaction — not just the legal language — is critical to a successful relationship.
What we do
